About The Position

BAM is seeking a full stack software developer to design, develop, and maintain web- and mobile-based software applications. The developer will deliver high-quality, performant experiences and reliable, efficient code using C# and .NET Core best practices. The role involves working with web technologies, relational and NoSQL databases, AWS cloud services, Git, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines. The developer will investigate customer and system requirements, collaborate with technical colleagues and stakeholders, participate in agile ceremonies, and contribute to code reviews and established development processes. Responsibilities also include resolving complex software issues, maintaining technical documentation, keeping current with industry trends, and providing or receiving guidance and mentorship. The position is fully remote and suits someone comfortable working independently while staying engaged with a collaborative, fast-paced agile team. BAM will consider candidates who do not meet every listed qualification but have sufficient experience and talent.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience and/or certifications.
At least 5 years of professional software development experience.
Proficiency in C# and .NET Core and a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
Experience with JavaScript frameworks, custom JavaScript using popular libraries, and advanced web technologies and techniques.
Experience with database design, data modeling, SQL, and database administration.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, and integrating cloud services into software solutions.
Experience with microservice and modular architecture, RESTful development, API design, and reusability.
Understanding of UX design and the ability to map business process workflows.
Hands-on Angular development in an enterprise implementation.
Understanding of user-centric design software tools.
Database design and enterprise data modeling experience with PostgreSQL.
Understanding of RESTful patterns and API endpoints.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
Proficiency with Git version control.
Enterprise experience with CI/CD pipelines.
Proven involvement in agile work environments.
Ability to identify and use standard software design patterns.
Flexibility to contribute in a fast-paced agile delivery environment.
Ability to work independently in a fully remote organization while maintaining consistent engagement.

Nice To Haves

Hands-on OutSystems development in an enterprise implementation.
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Familiarity with ASP.NET MVC and Kendo UI.
Hands-on experience with TypeScript.
Experience with GitHub.
CI/CD pipeline setup and management experience.
Experience with AWS DynamoDB.
Knowledge of OpenSearch (Elasticsearch) for search and analytics.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, performant web experiences using strong software development fundamentals and a deep understanding of the web stack.
Develop high-quality, well-designed, tested, and efficient code using C# and .NET Core best practices.
Design and maintain relational and NoSQL database objects using MS SQL, DynamoDB, and PostgreSQL, and optimize queries.
Implement cloud-based solutions using AWS services to improve scalability, security, and system performance.
Use Git for version control and collaboration.
Analyze customer and system requirements to identify suitable solutions.
Implement DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Communicate consistently with colleagues and work with technical personnel and team members to deliver solutions.
Follow established development processes and perform code reviews.
Investigate and resolve complex software issues and bugs.
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and make recommendations.
Participate in agile ceremonies and interface with stakeholders.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, API documentation, and coding standards.
Provide and receive guidance and mentorship, including supporting junior developers.
Work independently in a fully remote organization while maintaining engagement through collaboration tools.
