Seasonal Fulfillment Supervisor - 2nd Shift
About The Position
The Seasonal Fulfillment Supervisor provides hands-on leadership and daily operational support for picking, packing, and shipping at the Obetz fulfillment facility during peak seasonal operations. The role coordinates daily workflows, directs seasonal associates, monitors productivity, and helps ensure orders are processed accurately and shipped on time. It is a temporary, hourly leadership position supporting increased operational demands during the busiest season. The supervisor oversees shift-level performance goals related to productivity, order accuracy, safety, and on-time shipping. The role works with Fulfillment Management and cross-functional teams to coordinate staffing and workflows, address operational challenges, and maintain safe, compliant, and efficient fulfillment operations. Scheduled hours may fluctuate with order volume and staffing needs; overtime, weekends, and extended shifts may be required. Seasonal employment does not guarantee continued or year-round employment.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 2 years of experience in warehouse, fulfillment, distribution, or a similar operations environment.
- Previous experience as a supervisor, team lead, or in another role providing direct leadership to warehouse associates.
- Ability to direct and motivate teams in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Experience monitoring productivity, meeting operational deadlines, and maintaining quality standards.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or inventory tracking systems.
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently while following established operational procedures and management direction.
- Flexibility to work overtime, extended shifts, weekends, and additional days during peak season.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout a shift; bend, reach, and lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in an active, fast-paced warehouse environment with varying operational demands and tight shipping deadlines.
- Must follow facility safety requirements and applicable dress code policies.
- Must be available for additional hours during peak seasonal operations.

Responsibilities
- Supervise daily picking, packing, and shipping operations to ensure orders are fulfilled accurately and on time.
- Assign associates to work areas based on staffing, order volume, and operational priorities; adjust labor assignments as needed during the shift.
- Monitor productivity, order accuracy, fulfillment performance, attendance, and adherence to procedures; provide real-time coaching and feedback.
- Identify operational bottlenecks, equipment issues, staffing concerns, and recurring performance issues, and communicate or escalate them to management.
- Provide hands-on operational support when necessary to meet production and shipping demands.
- Communicate shift priorities, production expectations, updates, and operational results to associates and management; maintain accurate shift reports.
- Assist with attendance tracking, timekeeping accuracy, workforce accountability, and effective labor utilization.
- Provide daily direction and support to seasonal associates; assist with onboarding, training, and integration of new employees.
- Reinforce company policies, attendance expectations, workplace standards, teamwork, and accountability.
- Address employee concerns and escalate employee-relations matters to Fulfillment Management or HR; support performance documentation and corrective action processes with management and HR.
- Coordinate with Inventory Control, Shipping, other Operations teams, and other supervisors to maintain efficient fulfillment and smooth shift transitions.
- Communicate inventory shortages, replenishment needs, shipping delays, staffing updates, and production information.
- Support seasonal staffing ramps and adjustments based on daily order volume.
- Ensure associates follow safety policies, operational procedures, quality standards, material-handling practices, equipment requirements, food-safety requirements, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; identify and report unsafe conditions, workplace incidents, and quality concerns.
- Assist with safety inspections and operational compliance activities.
