About The Position
Great Lakes Petroleum is seeking a Fuel Truck Dispatcher to oversee Fuel Truck Drivers, meet customer needs, resolve delivery issues, and maintain the highest level of safety. The role coordinates driver coverage, route information, fuel transportation and inventory, pricing, deliveries, and efficient route planning. It also includes accurate time and attendance reporting and clerical support duties.
Requirements
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must be available to take calls on weekends and evenings.
- At least 2–3 years of experience in previous fuel dispatch.
Responsibilities
- Maintain an up-to-date listing of assigned drivers.
- Ensure each scheduled route has an up-to-date route sheet.
- Ensure scheduled routes are covered using available relief or substitute drivers.
- Maintain an accurate daily attendance roster of drivers.
- Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations.
- Oversee fuel transportation, inventory levels, daily pricing, market movement, warehousing, deliveries, reloading, and route planning with minimal downtime.
- Ensure drivers accurately record their time and that write-in time is reflected in the daily report.
- Coordinate with drivers to resolve issues, problems, or concerns that arise during deliveries.
- Perform clerical support duties as assigned.
