About The Position

Great Lakes Petroleum is hiring a Fuel Truck Dispatcher in Concord, North Carolina. The position oversees Fuel Truck Drivers to meet customer needs and resolve delivery issues while maintaining the highest level of safety. The dispatcher coordinates routes and driver coverage, monitors fuel transportation and related operations, and performs clerical support duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Availability to take calls on weekends and evenings.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in previous fuel dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an up-to-date listing of assigned drivers.
• Ensure an up-to-date route sheet is available for each scheduled route.
• Ensure each scheduled route is covered by using available relief or substitute drivers.
• Maintain an accurate daily attendance roster of drivers.
• Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of DOT regulations.
• Oversee fuel transportation, inventory levels, daily pricing, market movement, warehousing, deliveries, reloading, efficient route planning, and minimizing downtime.
• Ensure drivers accurately record their time and that write-in time is accurately reflected in the daily report.
• Coordinate with drivers to resolve issues, problems, or concerns arising during delivery.
• Perform clerical support duties as assigned.
