About The Position

The Fuel Cashier is a member of the store team who primarily provides excellent customer service to guests at TravelCenters of America. The role serves customers efficiently and courteously while processing large diesel fuel transactions and handling payments. It also involves multitasking across merchandise sales, truck scales, shower reservations, communications, and personal check-cashing. Team members prioritize work according to customer and management needs, follow safety guidelines, report potentially unsafe situations, and communicate with leaders and coworkers. Other job-related duties may be assigned.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

Responsibilities

• Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Process large diesel fuel transactions on a point-of-sale register and handle cash, check, and credit-card payments.
• Multitask customer transactions involving merchandise, truck scales, shower reservations, communications, and personal check-cashing.
• Prioritize work according to customer and management needs.
• Follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and coworkers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
