About The Position

The Fuel Cashier is a key member of the TravelCenters of America store team, primarily responsible for providing excellent customer service to guests. The role serves customers courteously, quickly, and efficiently while maintaining a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude. It involves processing large diesel fuel transactions and handling multiple types of customer transactions in a one-stop travel-center environment. The team member works with store leaders and co-workers to support customers and follows safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Good verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and some holidays.

• Basic computer and point-of-sale knowledge preferred.
• Cash handling skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve each customer courteously, quickly, and efficiently with a sincere, positive, pleasant, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Process large diesel fuel transactions on a point-of-sale register, handling cash, checks, and credit cards.
• Multitask customer transactions involving merchandise, truck scales, shower reservations, communications, and personal check-cashing.
• Prioritize work according to customer and management needs.
• Know and follow safety guidelines and report potentially unsafe situations caused by team members or customers.
• Establish strong communication and rapport with leaders and co-workers.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
