About The Position

Under direction of the shift supervisor, the FSQS Lead Technician ensures the FSQS Technicians are following quality and food safety procedures to maintain the quality and safety of the food products produced by Dorada Foods. The technician must be in their work area, ready to work at the posted start time. The expectation is the Lead will spend 85% of the shift on the production floor. This position is required to carry the company provided radio at all times and communicate as required by SOP. Ensure that all Food Safety Policies are followed and immediately take control of, correct and report any potential Food Safety deficiencies.

Requirements

• High School diploma required
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

• Food Quality Assurance experience
• Degree preferred
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint a plus
• Excellent Communications skills (English preferably)
• Quick learner and must be able to multi task
• People person, a well driven attitude with flexible hours
• Time management must be excellent when completing projects, task.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that all Food Safety Policies are followed and immediately take control of, correct and report any potential Food Safety deficiencies
• Be knowledgeable on all product specifications for specific customers.
• Demonstrate knowledge of all SPS, SSOP and GMP programs.
• Help train FSQS technicians on SPS, SSOP, and GMP programs.
• Keep FSQS Supervisors informed of plant Food Safety and Quality deficiencies and communicate needs to departments.
• Prepare Work Order requests and communicate needs with Maintenance. Track progress of completed and open work orders.
