About The Position

As a FSQA Tech, you will help ensure the highest standards of food safety and quality. The role involves inspecting products and plant systems, accurately recording and calculating results, and taking corrective action when necessary. The position is based in a food manufacturing environment and requires the ability to meet the stated physical demands and work overtime and weekends as needed.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
At least 1 year of experience in the food manufacturing industry or related quality assurance experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Skills to complete Tyson paperwork.
Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce.
Problem identification and problem-solving skills.
Math and organizational skills.
Ability to read and interpret product specifications.
Ability to function well under stress.
Flexibility to work where and when needed.
Willingness and ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
Ability to stand on a hard surface for up to 12 hours per day.
Ability to work in temperatures typically ranging from 30 to 90 degrees Fahrenheit and in a wet environment.
Ability to perform repetitive bending, reaching, squatting, gripping, pushing, and pulling; frequently reach high and low levels; and climb step ladders or stairs.
Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.
Must obtain Lock Out Tag Out certification.
Must be willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Responsibilities

Perform physical and visual inspections of products and plant systems.
Document and calculate results accurately.
Take corrective action when necessary, including alerting appropriate personnel to adjust processes, identifying, segregating, and isolating non-conforming products, and reporting results to management.
Handle additional assignments as requested.
