About The Position

This position is responsible for operating machinery to ensure the continuous flow of products through the production process and ensuring proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line. Responsible for monitoring and adjusting machine settings as needed and notifying the supervisor if machines should require maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be able to perform essential job functions to standard within 15 days
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and some weekend
  • Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
  • Must be able to work in a cold & wet environment
  • Must observe all required hygiene & safety procedures at all times
  • Must be able to stand for the entire shift
  • Job requires bending, lifting, twisting, & turning.
  • Must set an example for other team members to comply with all policies

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the overall operation of the fryer
  • Set up fryer prior to startup
  • Fill fryer with oil.
  • Set oil temperature & dwell time according to product specs
  • Monitor filters, temperatures, and dwell time throughout the shift
  • Work with supervisor and other team members to maintain smooth product flow from the front end into the freezer
  • Carry Mueller outside the production area to be dumped
  • Drain fryer at end of shift
  • Must comply with all hygiene practices and safety procedures at all times
  • Other duties may be assigned by the supervisor
