This role is responsible for setting up equipment in preparation for startup and learning all jobs within the department. The Utility Operator must adhere to good safety practices, food safety policies, and company policies. Proficiency in computer-based programs like Microsoft Excel and SAP, or the ability to learn them, is required. The position also involves becoming certified in Tyson’s Lock Out Tag Out program, monitoring the production area for cleanliness, and performing other tasks as assigned. Effective communication with employees and management is essential. Familiarity with the safe operation of production line conveyor equipment is necessary. The role requires the ability to work in temperatures of 35 degrees Fahrenheit or less for at least 8 hours, and to perform tasks such as pinching/gripping product, bending, twisting, reaching, standing, stooping, walking, climbing, and lifting for periods of 8 hours on a concrete floor.
