About The Position

The Frozen Foods Clerk is responsible for ensuring adequate stock levels through proper ordering, maintaining optimal inventories, and effective inventory control to prevent spoilage and outdated products. This role involves accurate pricing, legible labeling, and creating appealing, well-stocked displays. The clerk also handles the prompt return of products and ensures compliance with company policies for receiving incoming supplier products. A strong understanding of sales, gross profit, labor, and inventory is essential for the effective operation of the department. The position requires maintaining adequate and appropriate department records.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18 Years
Regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach.
Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination.
Hear and respond to customer inquiries.
Standing, walking and bending throughout the entire work day.
Ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds from location to location.

Responsibilities

Ensures adequate stock by proper ordering so that inventories can be maintained at optimum levels.
Pays proper attention to effective inventory control to guard against spoilage and outdated product, proper stock rotations, pricing is accurate and legible, and eye-appealing displays that are full and faced.
Ensures prompt return of product and maintains compliance with company policies regarding proper receipt of incoming supplier products.
Maintains adequate and appropriate department records at all times.
