About The Position

The Frozen Foods Clerk is responsible for maintaining optimal inventory levels, ensuring proper stock rotation, accurate pricing, and creating appealing displays. This role requires attention to inventory control to prevent spoilage and outdated products, as well as maintaining department records. The position also involves understanding sales, gross profit, labor, and inventory relationships for effective department operation.

Requirements

Minimum age: 18 Years
Regularly required to grasp, push, pull, carry, stoop, twist, crouch, and reach.
Perform tasks requiring repetitive motion and eye, hand and foot coordination.
Hear and respond to customer inquiries.
Standing, walking and bending throughout the entire work day.
Ability to maneuver heavy objects weighing up to 30 pounds from location to location.

Responsibilities

Ensures adequate stock by proper ordering so that inventories can be maintained at optimum levels.
Pays proper attention to effective inventory control to guard against spoilage and outdated product, proper stock rotations, pricing is accurate and legible, and eye-appealing displays that are full and faced.
Ensures prompt return of product and maintains compliance with company policies regarding proper receipt of incoming supplier products.
Possesses a good understanding of the meaning of sales, gross profit, labor and inventory and its relationship to the effective operation of the department.
Maintains adequate and appropriate department records at all times.
