About The Position

Corning is seeking a Night Shift Operations Supervisor to lead cable manufacturing operations in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The position has direct supervisory responsibility for 30–45 hourly associates and four operations coordinators, with an impact on production efficiency, safety, and team development. The role offers opportunities to grow across functions including Engineering, Supply Chain, and Technology. The schedule is a 12-hour rotational night shift, including days, nights, and weekends as required. Travel is less than 5%.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
At least 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
Availability and flexibility to work 12-hour rotational shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

Ensure work is performed safely, observe safe work practices, and promptly report unsafe conditions to maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors.
Develop and oversee production activities to meet or exceed output, quality, and cost objectives.
Prioritize production schedules based on product timelines, equipment efficiency, and material availability.
Adjust staffing assignments across machines and processes to optimize flow efficiency and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Train and develop team members, promote accountability for individual and team performance, recognize high performers, and foster open communication and engagement.
