About The Position

Corning is seeking a Night Shift Operations Supervisor to lead cable manufacturing operations in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. The position directly supervises 30–45 hourly associates and four operations coordinators, with responsibility for production efficiency, safety, and team development. The role also offers opportunities to grow across functions such as Engineering, Supply Chain, and Technology. The schedule is a 12-hour rotational night shift, with availability and flexibility required to work days, nights, and weekends as needed. Travel is less than 5%.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
At least 3 years of manufacturing leadership experience.
Availability and flexibility to work 12-hour rotational night shifts, including days, nights, and weekends as required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
Lean Six Sigma certification or training.

Responsibilities

Ensure all work is performed safely, observe safe work practices, and promptly report unsafe conditions to maintain a safe environment for employees and visitors.
Develop and oversee production activities to meet or exceed output, quality, and cost objectives.
Prioritize production schedules based on product timelines, equipment efficiency, and material availability.
Adjust staffing assignments across machines and processes to optimize flow efficiency and maintain high housekeeping standards.
Train and develop team members, promote accountability for individual and team performance, recognize high performers, and foster open communication and engagement.
