About The Position

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is hiring a Front Office Clinic Assistant to join our Vancouver Health Center team. Bilingual Spanish required. As a Front Office Clinic Assistant, you'll be the first point of contact for patients—helping ensure every interaction is handled with dignity, compassion, and professionalism. In this role, you'll help create a smooth, supportive experience for patients—from check-in to check-out.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Bilingual Spanish skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer service or high-volume environment
  • Strong communication skills with diverse patients and coworkers
  • Basic computer skills and comfort learning new systems
  • Ability to stay organized and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical office or front desk setting
  • Experience using electronic health records (EHR)
  • Familiarity with insurance verification or healthcare scheduling

Responsibilities

  • Welcome patients, check them in, and prepare visit paperwork
  • Answer phones, schedule appointments, and assist with patient questions
  • Enter and update patient information in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Verify insurance coverage and discuss payment or funding options
  • Collect payments and complete daily balancing tasks
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to keep appointments running smoothly
  • Help maintain a welcoming, organized front office environment
