About The Position

North Texas Fleet Services is seeking a Front End Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain medium-duty trucks. The role focuses on front-end and suspension repairs, vehicle electrical systems, air-conditioning work, diagnostics, and safety inspections. Technicians use diagnostic equipment and software, complete accurate repair orders, and follow shop safety standards. The position involves working outdoors and under vehicles, including in extreme heat, cold, or humidity. First- and second-shift schedules are available. Pay is $35–$40 per hour or flat-rate, depending on experience.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on experience working on medium-duty trucks, such as Class 3–7 vehicles.
Strong ability to read electrical schematics.
Proficiency with digital multimeters and hand and power tools.
Alignment skills.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on your feet or under vehicles.
Ability to complete the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.

Nice To Haves

CDL Class B license or willingness to obtain one.
High school education or equivalent.
Certifications.
Welding experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair steering linkages, tie rods, drag links, kingpins, wheel bearings, ball joints, and shock absorbers; perform alignments.
Troubleshoot and repair 12V/24V chassis wiring, multiplexing systems, lighting harnesses, starter and alternator issues, dash clusters, and CAN-bus communication faults.
Perform air-conditioning work and use applicable test equipment.
Use multimeters, test lights, and OEM or aftermarket diagnostic software to isolate and clear codes.
Perform multi-point vehicle safety inspections.
Maintain accurate repair orders and follow OSHA and shop safety standards.
