About The Position

North Texas Fleet Services is seeking a Front End Technician to work on medium-duty trucks. The role focuses on front-end and suspension repairs, electrical troubleshooting, diagnostics, maintenance, and vehicle safety inspections. Technicians use diagnostic tools and OEM or aftermarket software, complete repair documentation, and follow shop safety standards. Work may take place outdoors and in extreme heat, cold, or humidity. First- and second-shift schedules are available. Compensation is $35–$40 per hour, flat-rate depending on experience.

Requirements

At least 2 years of hands-on experience working on medium-duty trucks, such as Class 3–7 vehicles.
Strong ability to read electrical schematics.
Proficiency with digital multimeters and hand and power tools.
Ability to perform alignments.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and work on feet or under vehicles.

Nice To Haves

CDL Class B license or willingness to obtain one.
High school education or equivalent.
Certifications.
Welding experience.

Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair steering linkages, tie rods, drag links, kingpins, wheel bearings, ball joints, and shock absorbers; perform alignments.
Troubleshoot and repair 12V/24V chassis wiring, multiplexing systems, lighting harnesses, starter and alternator issues, dash clusters, and CAN-bus communication faults.
Perform air-conditioning work and use relevant test equipment.
Use multimeters, test lights, and OEM or aftermarket diagnostic software to isolate and clear codes.
Perform multi-point vehicle safety inspections.
Maintain accurate repair orders and follow OSHA and shop safety standards.
