Saline Planet Fitness - Front Desk Representative
About The Position
Planet Fitness Saline is seeking an energetic, enthusiastic Front Desk Representative who is passionate about health and fitness. This role serves members and team members in person, by phone, and in writing; follows verbal and written service procedures; uses technology to support member services; and helps maintain a safe, clean, welcoming club environment. The position requires CPR and AED certification, the ability to perform CPR and use an AED, and familiarity with exercise equipment so the employee can demonstrate its use to members. The posted schedule is 6 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday through Monday and Thursday. The role may also require a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays. Requirements
- Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
- Service-oriented, with the ability to resolve member concerns.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Upbeat attitude.
- Punctuality and reliability.
- Initiative and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, potentially including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to talk and hear.
- Ability to use hands and fingers to handle or feel.
- Ability to repetitively reach with arms and hands, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, and twist.
- Occasionally lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with members and team members in person, by phone, and in writing.
- Follow verbal directions and communication from members, team members, and supervisors.
- Follow written communications and prepared scripts for member services, including information calls, tours, cancellations, and rate reviews.
- Use different types of technology to service members.
- Obtain CPR and AED certifications, perform CPR, and use the AED machine.
- Understand exercise equipment and demonstrate its use to members.
- Clean and maintain restrooms, locker areas, showers, Black Card Spa amenities, entryways, the club floor, and exercise equipment.
- Perform cleaning tasks such as mopping, vacuuming, scrubbing, wiping, disposing of trash, and handling chemicals.
- Comply with safety and sanitization guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
