About The Position

Sweetgrass Plastic Surgery & Med Spa combines advanced medical aesthetics with a luxury spa experience. Our mission is to help clients look and feel their best through excellence, care and genuine hospitality. We are seeking a friendly, professional and highly organised Front Desk Receptionist / Patient Services Representative to be a welcoming first point of contact for our patients. You will support patients throughout their visit by managing check-ins, appointments, telephone enquiries and administrative tasks. You will work closely with clinical and administrative colleagues to help create a smooth, positive and professional patient experience. This position may suit someone who has strong customer service and organisational skills, enjoys helping people and is comfortable working in a fast-paced medical-office environment.

Requirements

  • At least two years’ experience in a customer service, administrative, front desk or reception role.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Computer proficiency, including experience using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience using scheduling systems.
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to accurate information handling.
  • A professional and empathetic manner when working with patients and colleagues.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Ability to work on-site in Mount Pleasant, SC.
  • Availability to work Monday to Friday.
  • Weekend availability as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience in a medical, dental, spa or similar working environment.

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients warmly and professionally.
  • Check patients in for their appointments.
  • Provide excellent customer service while helping to manage patient flow.
  • Verify and update patient information accurately in the appropriate system.
  • Monitor the waiting room and help maintain a comfortable environment.
  • Communicate with patients when appointment delays occur.
  • Answer and route incoming telephone calls in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Schedule appointments and confirm upcoming visits.
  • Coordinate appointment information with clinical staff.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with patients, providers and colleagues.
  • Maintain medical charts, patient files and records.
  • Complete data entry, filing and basic office-organisation tasks.
  • Use Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and scheduling software as required.
  • Support team members with general office duties.
  • Assist with special projects as needed.
