The role involves creating a positive experience for members and guests by anticipating needs, being prepared, enthusiastic, executing flawlessly, and acting promptly. Key duties include managing the switchboard, greeting visitors, answering inquiries, handling mail, processing payments, updating systems, scanning membership tags, managing reservations via phone and email, entering room and event details, printing reports, creating tickets for events, maintaining the reception area, assisting with membership packages and mailings, creating spreadsheets, preparing special event cards, ensuring bridge rooms are ready, creating and printing documents, and assisting with catering as needed. The position also requires learning and following protocols for medical emergencies, missing child situations, and fire evacuations, as well as adhering to procedures outlined in the receptionist manual.
