About The Position

America's Best, part of National Vision, is hiring a part-time Front Desk Receptionist. Receptionists are the face of the store, welcoming customers and helping patient schedules and store operations run smoothly. The role provides prompt, courteous service in person and by phone, maintains organized patient records, and supports an excellent eye-care and eyewear experience. Stores are closed every Sunday.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills.
Strong organizational skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

Experience as a receptionist, front office representative, or in a similar role.
0–2 years of related experience or training.
Experience handling multiple phone lines.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality customer service while following safety protocols.
Help ensure a smooth flow of customers through the store.
Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone calls according to National Vision protocol.
Process and understand managed care plans, obtaining documentation information from insurance companies as needed.
Provide customers with basic, accurate information.
Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up visits, and classes.
File patient records daily and pull files for the following day's appointments.
Check order status and notify customers when orders arrive or are delayed.
Keep the reception area tidy and presentable, with necessary materials available.
Receive, sort, and distribute daily mail and deliveries, and maintain office-supply inventory.
Participate in regularly scheduled mandatory communication meetings.
