About The Position

The Chateaux Deer Valley is seeking a Front Desk Manager On Duty. This role provides daily supervision and guidance to the Front Desk, ensuring all areas are managed in accordance with operating standards to maintain a professional image and superior customer service. The Manager On Duty is responsible for ensuring all reports are completed as required, resolving guest complaints, concerns, or disputes quickly and timely, and overseeing overall hotel operations when serving in this capacity. This junior management position is the first step to growing a career in hotel management and is perfect for any hospitality supervisor looking for the next step. The role is also responsible for monitoring and directing the nighttime activities of the hotel to ensure the safety and wellbeing of guests and employees.

Requirements

  • Hospitality supervisor experience
  • Ability to work evenings, weekdays, and weekends depending on business needs.
  • Willingness to work some overtime.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily supervision and guidance to the Front Desk.
  • Ensure each area is managed in accordance with operating standards to maintain a professional image and superior customer service.
  • Ensure that all reports are completed as required.
  • Resolve quickly and timely on guest complaints, concerns or disputes.
  • Responsible for the overall Hotel operations when serving as Manager on Duty.
  • Responsible for monitoring and directing the nighttime activities of the hotel to ensure the safety and wellbeing of our guests & employees.
  • Assist in attainment or surpassing of all departmental and hotel goals.
  • Maximize customer service and enhance the guest experience.
  • Minimize employee turnover through proper training and motivating of employees.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with all departments within the Hotel.
  • Manages a program that accurately forecasts occupancy changes and make recommendations for the maximum revenue enhancement.
  • Supervise the selection, orientation, and training process of all department employees.
  • Ensure wake-up calls are made timely and properly.
  • Ensure messages and faxes are properly logged and delivered.
  • Research all questionable accounts and guest billing inquiries.
  • Follow up on all guest complaints in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for blocking all rooms for arrivals.
