About The Position

Columbia Association is seeking a passionate, customer-focused Front Desk Attendant for Columbia Gym. The attendant helps create a warm and welcoming environment for members and guests, builds relationships with members, and provides exceptional customer service. The position is part-time, offers flexible scheduling, and can work up to 28 hours per week, with a minimum requirement of two shifts per week. The pay rate is $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Previous customer service experience in hospitality, fitness, or a related industry is preferred.
• Passion for fitness and a genuine desire to help others succeed on their fitness journeys.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and organization.
• Positive attitude and enthusiasm for providing exceptional member service.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
• Build relationships with members and foster a sense of community.
• Assist members as a fitness concierge by promoting and suggesting appropriate fitness services.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in the front desk area and locker rooms.
• Perform administrative tasks, including member check-ins, registration, and answering phone calls.
• Provide members and prospective members with information about club facilities, programs, and services.
• Handle member inquiries, feedback, and concerns professionally and courteously.
• Collaborate with team members to provide a seamless, positive member experience.
