About The Position

Kimpton Hotel Monaco Baltimore Inner Harbor is seeking a Front Desk Agent to join its Front Office team. The role greets and registers guests, completes check-ins and check-outs, and supports the hotel’s efforts to provide outstanding guest service and financial profitability. It involves using hotel computer and point-of-sale systems, handling guest payments, sharing hotel and local-area information, promoting hotel services, and responding to guest questions and concerns. The position works a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Requirements

• Prior experience as a hotel Front Desk Agent or in a high-volume customer-facing industry.
• Excellent computer skills.
• Team spirit.
• Availability to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and complete the registration process, including entering and retrieving information, confirming guest details and room rates, selecting rooms, and coding electronic keys.
• Assist guests with check-out and ensure rooms and services are correctly accounted for.
• Use the point-of-sale system and handle money and payments, including processing credit and debit cards, recording other payment forms, converting foreign currency, making change, and processing gift certificates and cards.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of hotel information, including room categories, rates, packages, promotions, local-area information, and other product details.
• Answer guest questions and inquiries.
• Use up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities and maximize room occupancy.
• Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve issues in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
• Handle guest complaints, conduct research, and negotiate solutions to achieve guest satisfaction.
