About The Position

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a fast-casual restaurant serving authentic Hawaiian plate lunches and other island specialties, prepared from scratch with fresh ingredients. The Front Crew member helps ensure a positive dining experience by providing customer service, taking orders, operating the POS system, serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe restaurant environment. The role may be part-time or full-time.

The position involves following health codes, safety procedures, company policies, and the Front Crew Training Guideline. Work includes cashiering and closing duties, regular cleaning and sanitizing, and promoting offers and new menu items. The work environment includes a hot kitchen, a typically high noise level, and an extremely cold walk-in refrigerated area.

Requirements

• Food Handler Card required by the state or local health department.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Follow health codes and safety procedures.
• Follow company policies and procedures and the Front Crew Training Guideline.
• Greet customers, provide customer service, and assist with orders.
• Promote marketing promotions and new product items to customers.
• Operate the POS system, handle payments, and serve food to customers.
• Perform cashier closing and daily closing procedures at the end of each shift or day.
• Maintain store cleanliness by completing daily and weekly cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
