About The Position

Ono Hawaiian BBQ is a fast-casual restaurant serving authentic Hawaiian Plate Lunches and other island specialties. The company prepares food from scratch daily using fresh ingredients and grills it to order. With more than 120 locations across California and Arizona, Ono Hawaiian BBQ aims to bring Hawaii’s culture and Aloha spirit to its restaurants through exceptional service and an inviting atmosphere.

As a Front Crew team member, you will help provide customers with a positive dining experience. The role includes customer service, taking orders, operating the Point-of-Sale system, serving food, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The position may be part-time or full-time.

The role requires extended periods of standing, walking, talking, and hearing. Duties may also involve lifting or moving items weighing up to 50 pounds, frequent handwashing and use of cleaning solutions, repetitive arm and hand movements, reaching high shelves with a stepladder, and bending, squatting, or kneeling. The kitchen can be hot and noisy, the walk-in refrigerator is extremely cold, and work takes place around kitchen equipment and tools.

Requirements

• Food Handler Card required by the state or local health department.
• Basic math skills.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Understand and comply with health codes and safety procedures.
• Understand and comply with company policies and procedures.
• Understand and comply with the Front Crew Training Guideline.
• Provide customer service, greet customers, and assist them with orders.
• Promote marketing promotions and new product items to customers.
• Operate the Point-of-Sale system, handle payments, and serve food to customers.
• Perform cashier closing and daily closing procedures at the end of each shift or day.
• Maintain store cleanliness by completing daily and weekly cleaning and sanitizing tasks.
• Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
