About The Position

The Front Counter Sales clerk provides a prompt, professional, and meaningful customer experience. The role requires product knowledge to help customers select the correct products, support counter sales and special orders, and resolve customer issues while prioritizing satisfaction and accuracy. Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in a customer-facing environment, such as retail or hardware stores.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision or as part of a group.
• Ability to work rotating Saturdays as needed.
• Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check, drug test, and physical.

Responsibilities

• Handle counter transactions for in-store goods.
• Handle prepayments for special-order items that are not readily available on the sales floor.
• Stock shelves as needed.
• Complete quotes for special-order items and ensure order acknowledgements are sent to and received by purchasing.
• Answer phone calls and emails, engage with customers, and resolve issues.
• Solve problems to ensure customer satisfaction and accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
