Fresh Pack Coordinator - (Fruit & Veggie Cutter)
About The Position
The Fresh Pack Coordinator (Fruit & Veggie Cutter) supports produce operations by processing, preparing, and maintaining fresh-cut fruit and vegetable products. The role assists the Produce Manager with ordering, receiving, displaying, and supplying products and materials, and helps coordinate training for fresh pack associates as directed. The coordinator maintains product quality and freshness, follows food safety procedures, and keeps the workstation and department clean and sanitized. The position requires on-site attendance during scheduled shifts and a customer-first approach consistent with Food City’s mission to “Run the Best Store in Town!”
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Ability to meet standard physical, mental, and visual demands.
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and/or written instructions, perform routine and repetitive tasks, and interact daily with individuals at various levels.
- Ability to work on-site during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.
Responsibilities
- Provide efficient, courteous customer service and maintain a positive, friendly, and fun atmosphere through teamwork and flexibility.
- Assist the Produce Manager with ordering, receiving, and displaying products for processing.
- Rotate merchandise when stocking to preserve freshness and quality.
- Set up and maintain cut vegetable and cut fruit sections, trim corn, and package salad tomatoes as directed by the Produce Manager.
- Follow food safety policies and procedures and enforce and maintain the company food safety program.
- Order supplies as directed by the Produce Manager.
- Assist with and coordinate fresh pack associate training as directed by the Produce Manager.
- Maintain the quality and freshness of fresh pack products.
- Ensure items requiring a COOL label are labeled daily.
- Trim and package fresh produce.
- Keep the workstation and surrounding area neat and clean; sanitize and clean the department at least twice daily.
- Attend on-site work during scheduled shifts in accordance with company time and attendance policies.
