About The Position

Language Trainers is an international language training company seeking a freelance French Teacher for a client in Patterson, NY. This is a part-time, freelance position for general French language training. The course is one-to-one, with a total of 20 hours, and each session lasting two hours. Lessons will be held at the client's home in Patterson, Putnam County, New York. The student is a beginner, aged 65 and over, and is motivated to travel to Paris in September, with a focus on speaking skills. The schedule is flexible, with the student available on weekdays between 11:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., or on weekends anytime before 2:00 p.m. The student will be unavailable from July 29 to August 3. The position starts on 2026-07-20. Schedule and location may be flexible based on availability, and the hourly rate is negotiable.

Requirements

Native French speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification.
Experience as a language teacher, translator, or interpreter.
Valid work permit/visa.
Live within 20 miles of Patterson, NY.
Availability for lessons twice a week, with flexibility for weekday (11:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) or weekend (before 2:00 p.m.) sessions.
Ability to start on 2026-07-20.
