About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Freight Handler at its distribution center in Taunton, Massachusetts. The role supports warehouse order processing and delivery by unloading pallets of product from trailers and breaking down freight into the correct pallet configuration. The handler separates inbound freight by item code, accounts for damaged product so it is not added to sale inventory, and checks pallet structural integrity. No prior experience is required; training is provided.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 8:30 a.m. and continuing until the work is finished. The stated starting pay is $19.52. Candidates must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed, and work in temperatures ranging from -25°F to 100°F.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
• Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions, from -25°F to 100°F.
• Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.

Nice To Haves

• Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
