About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Freight Handler at its distribution center in Taunton, Massachusetts. The role supports warehouse order processing by safely removing pallets of product from trailers and breaking down freight into the correct pallet configurations. The Freight Handler separates inbound freight by item code onto good pallets, accounts for damaged product so it is not received into sale inventory, and checks pallet structural integrity. No prior experience is required; training is provided. Prior warehouse experience is preferred. The role is based at 630 John Hancock Rd., Taunton, MA. Pay starts at $19.52. The schedule is Monday through Friday, starting at 8:30 a.m. and ending when work is finished. Employees must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed and work in temperatures ranging from -25°F to 100°F.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions from -25°F to 100°F.
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English.
Must successfully pass a drug test and background check.
Must be able to work weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed.

Nice To Haves

Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
