About The Position

The Freight Forwarder, Air Import is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination. The role coordinates with airlines, customs agents, trucking companies, customers, and other parties to support timely shipments and provide strong customer service. It also involves shipment tracking, preparing customs documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable customs regulations and trade laws.

Requirements

• Fluency in English.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates.
• Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in air imports.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
• Experience with logistics software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage the importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination.
• Coordinate with airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies to ensure timely delivery of goods.
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed.
• Prepare and submit documentation required for customs clearance, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws.
• Manage customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
