About The Position

The Freight Forwarder Air Import is responsible for ensuring the timely and efficient importation of goods by air, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination. The role coordinates with airlines, customs agents, trucking companies, and customers; tracks shipments; prepares customs documentation; and ensures compliance with relevant regulations and laws. It requires organizational, communication, and customer-service skills, as well as the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Fluency in English.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in air imports.
• Knowledge of additional languages.
• Experience with logistics software and systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage air importation of goods, including customs clearance and delivery to the final destination.
• Coordinate with airlines, customs agents, and trucking companies to support timely delivery.
• Track shipments and provide updates to customers as needed.
• Prepare and submit required customs-clearance documents, including commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other relevant paperwork.
• Ensure compliance with applicable regulations and laws, including customs regulations and trade laws.
• Manage customer relationships and provide exceptional customer service.
