About The Position

A Freight Forwarder is responsible for managing and coordinating the exportation of goods by air, including the required documentation, scheduling, and communication with customers and third-party service providers. The role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to manage customer relationships and ensure satisfaction. The position is based in Atlanta, Georgia, within DSV’s Air & Sea division.

Requirements

• Prior experience in freight forwarding, logistics, or a related field is preferred; freight forwarding experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations, such as calculating costs and rates.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of air freight logistics and customs regulations.
• Understanding of trade laws and regulations.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Nice To Haves

• Dangerous Goods certification or experience moving dangerous goods.
• Prior experience with Cargowise.
• Experience with logistics software and systems, including Cargowise or Tango.
• Knowledge of additional languages.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate air export shipments, including scheduling with airlines and managing goods through transportation channels.
• Prepare and process customs clearance documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, and bills of lading.
• Track and monitor shipments and provide customers with regular status updates.
• Manage customer relationships, ensure satisfaction, and address concerns or issues.
• Collaborate with logistics, finance, operations, and other internal departments to support timely, efficient service delivery.
• Ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations, trade laws, and other relevant requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
