About The Position

IBMC is assisting a fast-growing UK third-party logistics (3PL) and e-commerce fulfillment group operating across Warehouse & Fulfillment, Final Mile, Courier, Freight, and Customer Service. The organization is transitioning from founder-led operations to a systemized, process-driven model. Managed through IBMC, this is a foundational operational role tasked with building, documenting, and scaling the freight and rate optimization desk. The role has a dual mandate: approximately 60% freight operations and carrier rate procurement, and 40% business analysis, process documentation, and billable activity capture. It involves using consolidated parcel and freight volumes to tender lanes, benchmark rates, and negotiate commercial improvements with final mile carriers. The analyst will also document operational knowledge, introduce pre-despatch controls, audit billable activity, and conduct cost and process analysis for executive leadership. The schedule is aligned with UK business hours, Monday to Friday, with core hours of 09:00 to 17:00 UK time. The position is remote, with a fully supported IBMC facility working environment in Indonesia.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics procurement, carrier rate negotiation, or 3PL operations; alternatively, a strong Business Operations Analyst with agency or consulting experience, process-mapping skills, and an interest in learning freight commercial operations.
  • High proficiency in data analysis, rate benchmarking, cost modeling, and constructing structured management reports.
  • A proven track record of writing SOPs and process workflows and building Notion or other workspace knowledge libraries.
  • English proficiency at C1 level or above, written and spoken, for communication with UK leadership, carriers, and international clients.
  • Availability for the full shift across UK business hours, 09:00 to 17:00 UK time.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with WMS software such as Mintsoft or comparable systems, carrier portals such as DHL or Evri, and freight rate databases.

Responsibilities

  • Benchmark carrier and forwarder rates, run lane tendering, build rate comparison databases, and negotiate commercial improvements using consolidated group volumes, particularly with final mile carriers.
  • Handle freight operational workflows, daily tracking, and exception management, while proactively communicating shipment updates to clients.
  • Conduct structured knowledge-capture sessions with the Freight Lead and convert operational experience into standardized SOPs, runbooks, and checklists in Notion.
  • Audit freight and warehouse operations to ensure billable activities, accessorial charges, and custom client requests are captured accurately and invoiced.
  • Perform cost and process analysis, update the Notion workspace, prepare daily written operational reports, and carry out special analytical projects assigned by the Chief Executive.
  • Implement pre-despatch controls and checklists to prevent documentation and shipping errors at scale.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary package reflecting the analytical and operational scope.
  • Direct working exposure to UK executive leadership and global logistics networks.
  • Foundational engagement seat with long-term growth potential into pod leadership.
  • Fully supported IBMC facility working environment in Indonesia.
