About The Position

The Business Analyst III performs business analysis across technology and business improvement projects, with a focus on stakeholder analysis, requirements development and management, and acceptance testing. The role helps identify and clarify innovative business solutions that support divisional strategic goals and align with corporate strategy. It uses analysis tools and techniques to develop cost-effective solutions that meet business needs and improve efficiency. The position contributes to development of the Business Analysis Practice and Framework, including preparing and updating business case documents. It assesses and documents business value propositions and maintains focus on value delivery throughout project execution. The analyst partners with customers and business partners across the company to identify and represent stakeholder needs and promote improved business analysis practices. The role also establishes and documents business processes, creates project and work breakdown structures, and tracks budgets, expenditures, transaction controls, and costs against budgets. The role handles complex assignments, potentially across the enterprise, and may define procedures or identify innovative approaches to analytical work. It drives collaboration on project teams, influences decisions, engages project leaders, sponsors, and stakeholders, and regularly mentors and serves as a role model for other analysts.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.
5–7 years of experience.
Progressive experience providing business analysis in employee benefits, financial services, technology delivery, or related fields.
Demonstrated communication, facilitation, and collaboration skills.
Verbal and written communication, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Leadership and mentoring skills to provide support and constructive performance feedback.
Knowledge of design techniques and principles involved in producing drawings and models.
Knowledge of computer software such as Visual Basic, Java, and SQL.
Ability to handle complex assignments, define procedures or identify innovative analytical solutions, collaborate, and influence decision-making.

Nice To Haves

Achievement of or progress toward Fellow, Life Management Institute (FLMI), Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), or Certification of Competency in Business Analysis (CCBA).
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Certification in Process or Performance Management.
Certification in Quality Assurance/Testing.
