About The Position

IBMC is assisting a fast-growing UK third-party logistics (3PL) and e-commerce fulfillment group operating across Warehouse & Fulfillment, Final Mile, Courier, Freight, and Customer Service. The group is systemizing its operations to support international scaling. This is a dual-mandate role, with an indicative split of 60% Freight Commercial & Operations and 40% Business Analysis. The role will build and document the freight rate procurement desk by tendering lanes, benchmarking carrier and forwarder rates—with a focus on final mile carriers—and creating standardized rate cards. It will also support executive leadership through business analysis, operational documentation, recovery reporting, and recurring management dashboards. The successful candidate will learn end-to-end freight operations from senior UK leads, turn undocumented workflows into signed-off SOPs, capture unbilled billable activity, maintain the Notion operating workspace, and prepare executive reporting. The role is managed through IBMC and works 100% aligned with UK business hours: Monday to Friday, with a minimum core overlap from 09:00 to 17:00 UK time (evening to night in WIB).

Requirements

  • Primary profile: at least 2 years of experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, or shipping operations, including pricing, rate procurement, or carrier management.
  • Alternative profile: business operations analysis experience, such as in e-commerce operations, business analysis, or an agency, and willingness to learn freight commercial work, beginning with business analysis, rate desk administration, and SOP mapping.
  • Practical familiarity with international shipping documents, including Bills of Lading, CMRs, commercial invoices, packing lists, and customs entries.
  • Strong data analysis, rate benchmarking, and cost modeling capabilities, including the ability to turn raw data into executive recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability or experience writing SOPs, building runbooks, or maintaining project workspaces such as Notion.
  • C1 level or above in English, written and spoken, for carrier negotiations and daily video calls with UK leadership.
