About The Position

Gordon Food Service is hiring a Freezer Selector for its distribution center at 6200 Gordon Food Service Drive in Concord, North Carolina. Selectors help process customer orders in the warehouse, working in a freezer environment and using a production-based pay structure. Starting pay is $21.90 per hour, with two pay raises during the first year and additional hourly earnings based on speed and efficiency. The posting says selectors take home an average of 122% of their base salary. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays off. This is a second-shift role starting at 3 p.m.; the approximate finish time varies with work volume. The work involves being on your feet for 10 hours and lifting up to 100 pounds. No prior experience is required, and a dedicated training team provides instruction. Candidates must be at least 18, communicate in English, pass a drug test and background check, and be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed. The role requires working in extreme cold or hot conditions. Prior warehouse experience is preferred but not required.
