About The Position

The Freezer Picker accurately selects finished-gift products in cold storage, using an RF scanner to pick the correct SKU and quantity and enter information into the warehouse management system. The role also involves palletizing products and moving pallets to the staging area with a hand jack, while meeting production standards and complying with SQF food-safety standards.

The position requires working in cold storage between -10° and 40° for the entire shift. Physical demands include walking and standing for 10–12 hours, lifting 20–30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally, climbing stairs in the cooler and freezer, and safely using a hand jack and/or forklift.

Requirements

• Some high school education.
• Basic reading and math skills, including counting, matching, adding, subtracting, and multiplying.
• Able to work in cold storage (-10° to 40°) for the entire shift.
• Able to walk and stand for the entire shift (10–12 hours).
• Able to lift 20–30 pounds continuously and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to climb stairs in the cooler and freezer.
• Able to use a hand jack and/or forklift in a controlled and safe environment.
• Maintain reasonable and reliable attendance.

Nice To Haves

• Six or more months of experience working in a distribution center.
• PC skills or previous experience using inventory scanning equipment.

Responsibilities
