Freezer Custodian - 2nd Shift
About The Position
Gordon Food Service is hiring a Custodian for its distribution center at 630 John Hancock Rd, Taunton, Massachusetts. The role supports warehouse operations by maintaining clean, organized buildings. Duties include sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, vacuuming, emptying trash, clearing snow, and maintaining landscaping. The position works in extreme temperatures ranging from -25°F to 100°F. No prior experience is required; training is provided. The schedule is Sunday through Thursday, 7:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m., with Fridays and Saturdays off. Starting pay is $20.52 per hour, including a $1.00 second-shift premium, with an additional freezer incentive of $0.80 per hour and performance incentives.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to lift up to 100 pounds as needed.
- Must be able to work in extreme cold or hot conditions (-25°F to 100°F).
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, benefit and company information, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions.
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
