Freezer & Dairy Clerk Part Time
About The Position
The Dairy & Freezer Clerk maintains the dairy and freezer sections by ensuring proper stocking, product rotation, and product integrity. The role supports merchandising, inventory management, and compliance with food safety standards while delivering excellent service to Members. The clerk helps keep the department organized and efficient and contributes to the success of the perishables team. The position also involves living the company’s values, creating a safe and collaborative environment, acknowledging teammates’ contributions, and helping provide a positive Member experience. The clerk is expected to uphold service standards, respond to Member questions or concerns, and escalate unresolved issues to a supervisor as needed. The role supports club performance by completing daily responsibilities accurately and efficiently, using supplies responsibly, following scheduling expectations, and carrying out department operations in line with company policies and standards. Additional duties and support across departments may be assigned.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Basic knowledge of cold chain management, food safety standards, and product handling requirements.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and multitasking skills.
Nice To Haves
- At least 1 year of experience in dairy, freezer, grocery, or retail operations.
- Proficiency in basic computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and email.
Responsibilities
- Stock dairy and freezer products according to company planograms.
- Monitor temperature control and support cold chain integrity.
- Replenish low or missing items to maintain freshness and availability.
- Rotate products using FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures.
- Inspect products for expiration dates and condition, and remove damaged or outdated items.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards, including cleaning coolers, freezers, equipment, and shelving.
- Monitor in-stock levels and assist with replenishment to keep the department full and shoppable.
- Verify that products are correctly signed and priced.
- Assist with seasonal transitions and merchandising plans.
- Follow company policies and procedures in dairy and freezer operations.
- Provide additional support across departments as needed.
- Maintain regular, predictable, full attendance.
- Demonstrate inclusive behavior, make ethical choices, and contribute to a safe, collaborative, and positive team environment.
- Meet daily Member service standards, engage with Members helpfully, respond to questions or concerns, and escalate unresolved issues to a supervisor.
- Complete tasks accurately and efficiently, use supplies responsibly, and support club and department performance goals.
