About The Position

The Fraternity and Sorority Life Coordinator supports the growth, development, and success of the fraternity and sorority community through advising, educational programming, leadership development, and community engagement initiatives. This position collaborates with students, campus partners, alumni, and inter/national organizations to foster a safe and values-based community that promotes academic achievement, wellness, civic engagement, and student leadership. The coordinator also assists with risk management, chapter accreditation, recruitment and retention efforts, conduct processes, and departmental operations in support of the mission of the Student Involvement and Leadership Center. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of professional experience or equivalent relevant experience

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in higher education or a related field
  • Experience providing direct coaching and advising to students
  • Experience in the fraternity/sorority industry, as a member and/or professional
  • Experience using a campus engagement platform such as CampusGroups, Engage, or similar

Responsibilities

  • Provides day-to-day advising and support to current chapters and the Interfraternity, Panhellenic, and Multicultural Greek councils
  • Develops, implements, and evaluates educational and social programming to promote leadership development, academic excellence, positive relationships, values congruence, wellness, and civic engagement
  • Builds collaborative relationships with campus and inter/national stakeholders, including advisors, alumni, parents, and headquarters staff
  • Supports recruitment and new member education processes for the community
  • Serves as an advocate and guide to chapter leadership throughout the conduct process
  • Serves as a liaison between campus and inter/national headquarters staff and supporting the expansion of new chapters on campus
  • Manages the online event registration process for fraternities and sororities, considering risk management needs for chapter events and connecting chapter leaders to relevant campus and community resources, processes, and partners
  • Assists the administrative functions of the department related to fraternity and sorority life
  • Assists in support and coordination of department and campus-wide programs as assigned
  • Serves as an engaged member of the Student Involvement and Leadership Center team, attending and coordinating programs, evaluating strengths and weaknesses of departmental programs, serving on university committees and program teams
  • Perform other duties as assigned
