The MIG Welder welds metal frame parts to specification using engineering documents and shop travelers. The role emphasizes quality workmanship, accountability, safety, and teamwork. The welder sets up and operates welding tools, maintains continuous workflow by following documented processes, assists with daily machine preventive maintenance, and performs first-part inspections and in-process quality checks. The position supports continuous improvement in safety, quality, 5S, and manufacturing processes; communicates production-flow issues and feedback on quality or operational improvements; follows company safety and conduct policies, including proper use and care of provided PPE; and maintains a clean, organized work area. Cross-training and a flexible schedule for overtime and start times based on work volume are required. The work takes place in a fast-paced custom metal manufacturing environment with high noise, metals, lubricants, welding gases, moving machinery and equipment, and potentially hot or cold temperatures in areas without climate control. Physical demands include frequently lifting, pushing, pulling, and grasping up to 50 pounds; dexterity with both hands; frequently working in bent, kneeling, stooped, or squatted positions; and standing for extended periods. The expected base hourly range is $20.00–$24.00. Actual compensation depends on skills, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
