About The Position

The Foundry Engineering Summer Intern supports External Foundry Operations and Manufacturing Engineering activities. Working closely with Foundry Engineering, the intern monitors wafer fabrication activities, analyzes process control data, tracks engineering lots, and supports qualification and production programs across multiple semiconductor foundries. The role provides hands-on exposure to semiconductor manufacturing, process monitoring, yield analysis, data management, new product introductions (NPI), and foundry qualification activities. The internship lasts 10–12 weeks. Interns receive an individual, well-defined project with outcome goals, hands-on experience, training and ongoing supervision. They may attend an intern webinar series and networking and social events, present project successes and pitfalls at a poster session, and receive formal written feedback. The hourly pay range is $20–$47. Actual compensation depends on factors including work location, relevant experience, education, knowledge, skills, and abilities.
