About The Position

Thorin is building proactive, long-horizon AI agents that continuously understand what is happening across an organization and help teams execute over weeks, months, and years. Rather than waiting for prompts, Thorin develops a living understanding of how a business actually operates. Born out of 8VC's Build program and backed by one of Silicon Valley's strongest venture ecosystems, Thorin is building the operating system for the AI-native enterprise. We're looking for a Founding Technical Product Builder who naturally sits between customers, engineering, and founders. You won't inherit a roadmap. You'll discover what should exist by talking directly with customers, rapidly prototyping ideas, partnering deeply with engineers, and shipping continuously. This is ideal for a former founder, founding PM, Product Engineer, or deeply technical PM who thrives in ambiguity and loves building AI-native products.

Requirements

6–15 years building technical B2B SaaS products.
Founder, Founding PM, First PM, Product Engineer, or early startup operator strongly preferred.
Strong technical credibility; ideally Computer Science or similar engineering background.
Experience with LLMs, agents, RAG, retrieval, evaluations, AI workflows, or AI UX.
Outstanding customer discovery and product judgment.
High agency and excitement for early-stage environments.

Responsibilities

Partner directly with founders and customers to identify high-value problems.
Translate ambiguous customer workflows into AI-native product experiences.
Prototype ideas rapidly using AI before engineering investment.
Work daily with engineers on architecture, implementation tradeoffs, and product decisions.
Define success metrics and iterate quickly from customer feedback.
Ship AI-native products using LLMs, agents, retrieval, workflows, and automation.
Help establish Thorin's product culture and quality bar.
