About The Position

At Thoughtly, we are seeking a Founding Product Manager to join our team in New York. This full-time role is responsible for how Thoughtly presents itself in the market, focusing on positioning, narrative, and competitive differentiation to convert prospects into believers. The Product Manager will serve as the crucial link between customers, engineering, design, sales, and leadership. They will be the internal advocate for the customer, a key collaborator with the engineering team on prioritization and development, and the translator of Thoughtly's vision into product decisions that define the category. This role involves tackling complex, unsolved AI product challenges, including UX for autonomous agents, real-time conversation intelligence, and building trust for AI-driven actions within revenue teams. It's a highly impactful position with significant influence over the product roadmap, platform strategy, and long-term direction, particularly appealing to those with founder experience or aspirations.

Requirements

  • 5+ years as a PM, engineer, or founder.
  • Proven experience taking a product from concept to customer adoption and renewal.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to operate in a structured manner without a predefined playbook.
  • Excellent taste, with a keen eye for details in copy, flow, naming, and speed.
  • Obsession with the customer, proactively seeking conversations and empathy for their experience.
  • Power user of AI, using tools daily and understanding the ecosystem.
  • Metrics-driven approach, defining success quantitatively and linking feature-level signals to ARR.
  • Maniacal about outcomes, taking initiative, executing, and holding oneself accountable.
  • Willingness to do whatever the team needs, including support, testing, ticket cleanup, and customer calls.

Nice To Haves

  • B2B / enterprise experience, particularly selling to sales, revenue, or GTM buyers.
  • Experience building or scaling a horizontal platform across multiple verticals.
  • Experience at world-class enterprise product organizations (e.g., Gong, Ramp, Stripe, Outreach).

Responsibilities

  • Live in your customers' world, talking to them constantly to understand their thinking, friction points, and definition of success.
  • Ride along on sales calls and listen to call recordings to gain deep customer insights.
  • Translate customer feedback and competitive landscape analysis into strategic investment decisions.
  • Multiply the team's effectiveness by removing blockers, ensuring successful launch plans, de-risking decisions, and maintaining alignment without bureaucracy.
  • Use AI to build prototypes and compress non-engineering cycles to achieve high end-to-end velocity.
  • Ship product end-to-end: spec, build with engineering, test with customers, launch, measure, and iterate.
  • Own key metrics such as conversation completion rates, lead conversion lift, agent utilization, and expansion revenue.
  • Determine what drives upgrades, not just sign-ups.
  • Write PRDs when useful, or ship prototypes when more appropriate.
  • Set the quality bar for all agent conversations, personally QAing flows to ensure polish and care.
  • Develop a deep understanding across multiple consumer verticals (real estate, insurance, legal, mortgage, education) and buyer types, while also focusing on specific problem-solving within each.

Benefits

  • Competitive base salary benchmarked against real-time market data.
  • Equity for all full-time roles.
  • Exceptional benefits.
