GTM Engineer

ProbookNew York, NY
$130,000 - $160,000Onsite

About The Position

Probook is the AI dispatcher for the home services industry, transforming how plumbing, HVAC, and electrical businesses operate. Our impact is real. Dispatching the right technician to the right job can mean the difference between a $300 “band-aid” fix and a $20,000 system replacement. By automating previously high-touch workflows around-the-clock, Probook ensures a consistent customer experience without the need for 24/7 live staffing. We unify our customers’ processes into a single, scalable platform, giving businesses one place to run their entire dispatch operation. The Role Probook has no marketing function. You are building it from scratch. The remit covers four areas: brand and positioning, case studies and proof content, events and industry presence, and the experimentation infrastructure underneath all of it. This is not a campaign management role. It is a builder role, you design the system, run the tests, and own the outcomes. You will work directly with the CEO. We are not hiring a brand marketer or a performance marketer. We are hiring someone who is genuinely both: a taste-driven thinker who gets to the right creative answer through testing, not instinct alone, and who builds the infrastructure to test fast.

Requirements

  • NYC-based and able to work in-office five days a week.
  • 2+ years in a growth, GTM engineering, or marketing operations role at a Series A–D B2B company.
  • Demonstrated ownership of a measurement loop, not just execution of strategy.
  • Concrete evidence of quantitative rigor: A/B tests personally designed and analyzed, funnel metrics personally moved, tooling or automations personally built.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce case studies and run events.
  • Direct experience working with a founder or CEO on brand and content strategy.
  • Technical degree, entrepreneurial background with real measurement ownership, economics background with genuine quant fluency, or a job with rigorous experiment management.

Nice To Haves

  • Genuine ability to be both a taste-driven thinker and a builder of testing infrastructure.
  • Ability to move real funnel metrics (conversion rates, reply rates, CAC) and explain the changes made.
  • Experience building something with a data or automation angle (custom dashboard, enrichment workflow, scraper, AI-assisted content system) without outsourcing.
  • Sharp creative instincts and ability to defend them.
  • Ability to run multiple workstreams simultaneously (e.g., a rebrand and an event in the same quarter).
  • Ability to get work done without a team, PM, or agency.
  • Comfort with unglamorous tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Build Probook's marketing function from scratch, covering brand and positioning, case studies and proof content, events and industry presence, and experimentation infrastructure.
  • Design the marketing system, run tests, and own the outcomes.
  • Produce twelve or more case studies per year, with quantified ROI and video testimonials, serving as revenue assets.
  • Manage ten or more events annually, including logistics, follow-up, VIP dinners, and CEO relationship facilitation, ensuring leads are entered into the CRM within 24 hours and each event has a measurable pipeline outcome.
  • Implement structured experiments across cold email, LinkedIn, paid channels, and event formats.
  • Develop dashboards for real-time visibility into funnel performance and CAC for leadership.
  • Manage agencies.

Benefits

  • Competitive Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000+ (can go above this range depending on experience)
  • Equity: Meaningful equity stake — you are a founding member of the marketing team.
  • Health: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Lifestyle: $1,000 monthly stipend (food, gym, Uber) and office snacks.
  • Access: Direct relationships with world-class investors and advisors.
