Founding Marketer

UniversalAGI
Onsite

About The Position

As our Founding Marketer, you will be the owner of marketing at UniversalAGI. You'll need to be a self-starter, comfortable building from the ground up. This is your chance to take everything you have learned about marketing hard technology to sophisticated and technical buyers, and use it to define how the world understands what we are building and how quickly the right customers find us. You will work directly with the CEO, researchers, engineers, GTM lead, and product. You will own everything from demand generation and GTM execution to brand, design, and storytelling.

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience, including time as a first or early marketing hire at a technical AI or deep tech company, with a track record of GTM campaigns you owned end to end and can point to concrete pipeline or customer impact from.
  • Proven experience running targeted, multi-channel campaigns end to end: paid social, search, and CRM-driven lifecycle programs, with the coordination to launch across channels and touchpoints at once.
  • Sharp taste and design instinct, with the curiosity and drive to turn that instinct into polished, on-brand execution yourself.
  • Exceptional writer. Your work is precise, technically grounded, and free of filler.
  • You understand how AI systems are built and deployed at a level that lets you speak credibly with researchers and engineers.
  • You use AI tools natively in your own work.
  • Comfortable with the pace and ambiguity of a small company where the bar is high, the work is consequential, and you are expected to figure things out.

Nice To Haves

  • PR or media relations experience, with existing relationships with journalists, analysts, or community voices who cover our space.
  • Background in physical engineering, industrial software, simulation, or an adjacent technical field.
  • Experience building category narratives for technology that has no established market language or analyst coverage.
  • Experience working alongside a research team and turning technical publications or benchmarks into marketing assets.

Responsibilities

  • Build and execute the GTM marketing motion in close partnership with our GTM and product team.
  • Run targeted, multi-channel campaigns end to end, from paid and lifecycle channels to coordinated launches, developing the messaging, positioning, and proof points that shorten sales cycles.
  • Own the full channel mix across digital and physical. From website and social to targeted out-of-home, trade media, and precision plays that put us in front of the exact right people.
  • Inform and own the website, know where our buyers are, and keep an eye toward emerging channels as AI reshapes how buyers discover and evaluate technology.
  • Define and build the UniversalAGI brand from where it stands today: narrative, voice, positioning, and visual identity in a category that does not yet have established market language.
  • Work alongside our research team to turn technical output, benchmarks, and findings into content that builds credibility with the engineering and scientific communities who are our buyers and our future talent.
  • Own the full cycle of designing and delivering marketing collateral. Pitch decks, one-pagers, sales enablement materials, case studies, visual and video assets.
  • Plan and execute our presence at conferences, industry events, and AI research venues, including the judgment to choose which ones matter and the craft to design a booth people remember.
  • Drive earned media and press relationships. Build the external credibility of UniversalAGI through strategic outreach to journalists, analysts, and community voices who reach our audience.
  • Own early customer storytelling. Capture proof points, build case studies, and develop the customer narrative that gives the next buyer confidence before the first call.
  • Own talent brand as a natural extension of company marketing. The assets, events, and presence you build to reach customers should work equally hard to attract the researchers and engineers we need to hire.
