About The Position

Optexity is hiring a software engineer to work directly with customers in practices, clinics, and hospitals in New York. The engineer will learn how doctors and staff work, then build integrations and product features that make Optexity function in each customer environment. Many clinical systems have no APIs, so the role involves finding ways to integrate with them. The engineer owns each customer’s technical outcome from the first meeting through daily usage. The role includes deploying Optexity, gathering workflow requirements, building data pipelines and clinical-system integrations, contributing to the search and chat system, resolving customer issues, and supporting onboarding and adoption. The engineer will generalize solutions from individual deployments and share customer insights with the founders to help shape product direction. Optexity is a small, fast-moving research lab building clinical reasoning and computer-use models. Its working principles include customer obsession, intellectual honesty, bias for action, and extreme ownership. The company offers direct work with founders, ownership of technical direction, full compute and data, competitive salary, and meaningful equity. The role is preferred to be based in San Francisco, but remote candidates are also considered.
