Founding Engineer - Fullstack
About The Position
Our client is hiring a founding engineer to build the core platform that powers AI agents in supply chain operations. The role owns the data pipelines, integrations, APIs, and operator console connecting AI to real-world systems, including ERPs, 3PLs, retailers, and freight partners. This infrastructure work supports reliable customer use of AI for shipments, inventory, and operations. The engineer will take customer-facing features from concept to production, working with users through design, implementation, and observation of real usage. They will work across backend, data engineering, and frontend according to the highest-leverage needs.
Requirements
- At least 5 years building production platforms or infrastructure at scale; startup experience is preferred.
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript/Node, Postgres, queues/streams, and cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP.
- Systems thinking and product intuition, with concern for both developer and operator experience.
- Versatility across backend, data engineering, and frontend.
- Genuine interest in infrastructure problems with direct, measurable business impact.
- Must be located in or work in New York, NY; the role is hybrid.

Responsibilities
- Take customer-facing features from concept to production by talking to users, designing and building features, and observing real usage.
- Design secure, auditable data models and event-driven pipelines that power agent workflows.
- Develop internal and external APIs and a real-time operator console that gives customers visibility into operations.
- Build first-party integrations with ERPs, 3PLs, retailers, and freight partners, along with a resilient sync layer.
- Establish observability, SLOs, and on-call practices for mission-critical workflows.
- Work across backend, data engineering, and frontend wherever the highest-leverage problem is.
